Introduction to the
Handgun. This program
is provided for individuals
who arc considering
purch- asing a handgun
or who have recently
obtained a handgun and
is a new shooter with
the desire to shoot
with confidence and
competence. The course
will begin by covering
the safety issues involved
with handling of the
firearm. Through hands
on demonstrations the
student will learn proper
hand- ling of the handgun.
This will include the
proper grip, correct
sight picture, trigger
control, appropriate
stance and recoil control.
Also covered during
the program will be
discus- sions regarding
storage or the hand
gun in a safe and secure
manner.
The
program includes classroom
discussion (35%) and
range time (65%)
